Tenancy / Sales General Conditions
Thank you for choosing MyVideoPlanet, the first video travel guide based on video from travelers.
Please read carefully these tenancy/sales general conditions before booking/entering the premises.
1. Contract and payment of the advance fee to secure your booking
In order to secure your booking, the payment in advance of 30% of the total amount of your stay is required.
(If you wish to cancel your booking, several possibilities are proposed, please refer to the Cancellation Chapter for more information.)
You can choose to pay the advance payment :
• Online By Credit Card (MasterCard, VISA) : For your safety, we chose PayPal, a 100% online secured option.
• Or By fund transfer :

At the payment of the 30% advance fee, you will receive your voucher with the details of your vacation rental by email and/or fax. Your booking is then confirmed. Print this voucher before your departure, you will have to give it to the owner of the apartment at your arrival.
2. Payment of the rest and deposit :
You can pay for the remaining amount :
• Before your arrival by fund transfer or credit card (VISA, Master)
• On your arrival in Paris. In this case, we accept travelers’ cheques in Euros and cash in Euros.
PLEASE NOTE that if your arrival date is a Sunday, your payment must be done before your arrival by fund transfer or by credit card (VISA, Master) through our partner Paypal.
The payment of the deposit will be processed on arrival: you will have to sign the security deposit form, which allows MyVideoPlanet.com to charge them directly on your credit card (up to 2000€), in case of damage in the apartment.
The deposit will be refunded within the month of your departure, less gas and electricity use and/or phone if you asked for it (see Electricity/Phone sections), if any.
In case of damages, the amount of the damages caused will be retained.
3. Entering the apartment :
Your arrival hour is flexible, it will be set at the booking stage.
Regular check-in hours are from 8 am till 8 pm at the apartment.
Please find bellow a reminder of the estimated time from the airport/train station to the apartment:
– CDG-ROISSY : Please allow two hours between the landing time and the arrival at the apartment, which makes a landing time at the airport between 7am and 6pm. For any flights arriving before 7am consider than an hour is sufficient to go to the apartment.
– ORLY : Please allow one hour and a half between the landing time and the arrival at the apartment, which makes a landing time at the airport between 7am and 6pm. For any flights arriving before 7am consider than an hour is sufficient to go to the apartment
– BEAUVAIS : Please allow four hours between the landing time and the arrival at the apartment, which makes a landing time at the airport between 5am and 4pm. For any flights arriving before 7am consider than three hours is sufficient to go to the apartment.
– TRAIN STATIONS : Please allow one hour between the arrival time of the train and the arrival at the apartment, which makes a arrival time at the train station between 7am and 7pm.
Outside these hours a fee of 30€ will have to be added to the reservation.
● If the check-in at the apartment is scheduled between 11pm and 5am, then a taxi will need to be order via MyVideoPlanet for the client. Please find bellow the pricing for this service.
CDG - Roissy--> Paris :75€ / 105€ for 6 people and more
Orly--> Paris :65€ / 95€ for 6 people and more
Train station (in Paris)--> Apartment :45€ / 60€ for 6 people and more
● For any check-in during a bank holiday, the extra fee is applicable at all time. May we remind you all, the French bank holidays dates :

* Whit Monday : May 12th 2008 (2nd Monday of May)
* Easter Monday Monday May 24th 2008 (3rd Monday of May)

As per memo :
Check-in outside regular hours : 30€ extra fee
Check in during a bank holiday : 30€ extra fee
Check in after 11pm : 30€ extra fee + Taxi has to be order
A member of our staff or the owner of the apartment will welcome you at the apartment.
We will then :
• 1. Show you around the apartment
• 2. Give you a set of keys.
• 3. Ask you to sign the contract.
• 4. Ask for the payment of the remaining amount.
• 5. Agree on a date/time to return the keys and leave the premises.
4. Leaving :
Normally, we request you to leave the premises before 11 am.
A member of our staff will then check the place for any damages.
A summary of your use of gas and electricity will be given to you, and an inventory and statement of state of repair will be established
The amount is payable on your departure or when we refund your deposit (as part of your deposit).
5. Using the premises :
You may use the premises as if they were your own home, meaning in a civilized manner and looking after them properly.
The number of people sleeping in must not exceed the number stated in the description.
All the facilities are in working order and any claims contrary to this made more than 24 hours after entering the premises will not be taken into account.
Repairs required due to your negligence will be charged to you. It is understood that neighbors should not be disturbed unduly.
6. Equipment / housekeeping :
Premises are rented furnished with kitchen equipments, dishes, cutlery, blankets and pillows as described in the description contract.
We will clean up after you have left the premises and this is included in the price.
However, in exceptional cases, the landlord or a member of our staff might require you to pay for the following:
• cost for cleaning the premises (At a cost of 30 Euros), if the premises are left in a state of severe uncleanliness.
• full cost for replacement of broken, cracked, damaged or deteriorated items (furniture and/or facilities).
• EXTRA BEDS
- For any baby cot requested an extra charge of 30€ will have to be add to the reservation.
– For any extra folding bed requested an extra of 50€ will have to be add to the reservation.

7. Cancellation policy :
In case of cancellation, there are two possibilities
1. Less than 2 months before your arrival :
Your advance payment will not be refunded.
2. More than 2 months before your arrival :
The total amount of your advance fee will be refunded (less an administration charge of 100€).
If the tenants are more than 24 hours late without notice, MyVideoPlanet would have the ability to rent the apartment.
8. Modifications :
In case of extension of the previous client, or other circumstances, we keep the right to change your reservation for an equivalent or better apartment.
It is a benefit for both customers. You may have a better unit for the same price and you have the priority to extend your stay (to some limit).
9. Some limitations :
We are not responsible for any dysfunction in common services in a building like elevator or central heating system, scaffoldings, etc.
10. Insurance :
You don't need to subscribe to an extra insurance policy for the rented apartment/, as the owners/MyVideoPlanet partners are insured with an insurance policy covering civil responsibility linked to the premises (fire and/or water damages, physical injuries, etc). However, the policy does not cover your personal belongings in the event of a burglary.
11. Electricity :
Some owners make you pay for the electricity you use. Our partners usually charges 0.20 Euros per kWh. Standard consumption for one month occupancy is around 100 Euros in winter and barely noticeable in summer.
12. Gas :
If the apartment you've chosen has gas central heating, again some owners make you pay for what you've used. Our partners charges 0.20 Euros per kWh. Standard consumption for one month occupancy is around 80 Euros in winter and barely noticeable in summer.
13. Phone :
Local calls are free (Paris only), for standard phone numbers, excluding specific numbers and mobile/cell phones. In order to call outside Paris, you can use prepaid phone cards available in most newsagents and corner shops.
If you wish to unlock the line in order to use it freely, a deposit of 300 Euros will be required and calls will be charged at cost price.
