Timhotel Opera-Madeleine is definitely a very good value for money: the rooms are huge and clean, and the staff is very friendly. You are just in front the Gare Saint Lazare, which will take you everywhere in Paris. You are about 5 minutes' walking distance from the department store and 15 min. from Opera. The decor is a bit old, but it's clean, and they were apparently willing to redecorate soon.
